2. Key Features & Functionality
High-Flow Displacement Dynamics: Features 6 curved, flexible vanes that compress and expand rhythmically against the eccentric pump cup, delivering stable water flow and pressure across low and high RPM ranges.
Corrosion-Resistant Brass Hub Bonding: The heavy brass center core undergoes chemical etching and primer coating prior to high-pressure vulcanization, preventing hub-to-rubber delamination and slip under full throttle acceleration.
Chemical, Salt & Abrasion Defense: Marine-grade rubber resists ozone embrittlement, hot-water degradation, and abrasive sediment scoring often encountered in shallow waters and tidal estuaries.
Low Compression-Set Memory: Vanes resist taking a permanent bent set during seasonal winter storage, recovering instant elastomeric flexibility and positive cavity contact when re-commissioned.
3. Compatible Models
Primarily compatible with Yamaha mid-to-high horsepower outboards:
Yamaha 2-Stroke V4 / V6 Series: 115HP (115B, 115C), 130HP, 150HP (150F, ProV 150), 175HP, 200HP, 225HP, 250HP
Yamaha 4-Stroke Series: Early F115, F150 (F150A/TXR), F200, F225, F250 (3.3L V6 engines)
Clone Engines: Compatible with Parsun (T75 / T85 / T90 / T115), Hidea, Powertec, Seapro, and other outboard brands utilizing the Yamaha 6E5 style water pump system
4. Aftermarket & Brand Compatibility
OEM Brand Fitment:
Yamaha Marine: Engineered for genuine Yamaha 115HP through 300HP water pump cooling systems.

PREMARINE Brand Aftermarket Replacement:
PREMARINE Quality Standard: PREMARINE specializes in high-reliability outboard water pump impellers, rebuild kits, gaskets, and drive hardware. This impeller is vulcanized using reinforced chloroprene rubber compounds and precision brass inserts.
Direct OEM-Level Performance: Tensile strength, flex-fatigue life, operating head pressure, and cavitation resistance meet or exceed OEM specifications, serving as the premier cost-effective consumable to protect large powerheads against catastrophic overheating and cylinder scuffing.
5. Common Symptoms & Troubleshooting
Overheating Alarm Buzzing / Weak or Absent Telltale Indicator Stream:
Cause: Vanes sheared off at the root from age fatigue, or destroyed due to dry running without water lubrication.
Troubleshooting: Dismantle the pump housing and inspect the impeller; if blades are torn, missing, or lodged in the cooling channels, flush out debris and install a new impeller.
Normal Cooling at Idle, but Overheating Occurs at High Speed:
Cause: Vanes have lost their elastic stiffness; hydrodynamic water resistance flattens the vanes against the hub at high RPMs, reducing displacement.
Troubleshooting: Inspect blade elasticity and root thickness; if the vanes feel soft or display stress cracks, replace the impeller immediately.
Loud Squealing from Lower Casing / Slipped Hub Syndrome:
Cause: Engine started dry out of water; instantaneous friction heat melts the rubber-to-brass interface, causing the hub to spin independently of the rubber body.
Troubleshooting: Remove the impeller and verify mechanical cohesion between the brass insert and rubber body; if the core spins freely, install a replacement unit.
