5. Common Symptoms & Troubleshooting
Carburetor Flooding / Fuel Overflowing from Throat:
Cause: Worn groove on the rubber needle valve tip or sediment wedged in the valve seat preventing complete shutoff.
Troubleshooting: Remove the float bowl and inspect the needle valve tip under magnification for ridge wear. Test air shutoff through the fuel inlet nipple by raising the float gently by hand.
Unstable Idle, Stalling, or Hesitation on Acceleration:
